Rolan Review is an independent editorial publication based in Jakarta, Indonesia. We document men's wellness practices, natural ingredient sourcing standards, and the evidence landscape surrounding active lifestyle nutrition — without commercial allegiance to any brand or product category.
What We Are — and What We Are Not
Rolan Review is not a product retailer, an affiliate marketing platform, or a brand-sponsored content channel. It is an editorial journal. Our writers and editors conduct original research, field documentation, and sourcing reviews, which they then write up as articles for this publication. No article on this site has been sponsored, commissioned, or influenced by any commercial party.
We focus on the intersection of men's active lifestyle practice and evidence-informed wellness — a territory that is crowded with marketing claims, underdocumented assertions, and commercially motivated content. Our goal is to provide a different kind of resource: rigorously documented, transparently sourced, and editorially independent.
Our coverage is organised around four core themes: adaptogenic and botanical compounds, ingredient sourcing standards, daily nutrition frameworks, and active lifestyle practices. Within each theme, we document what the available evidence actually shows — including where the evidence is limited, contested, or absent.
The Editorial Team
Tobias oversees editorial standards at Rolan Review and leads the publication's sourcing documentation programme. His background is in nutritional research and applied wellness documentation, with particular focus on ingredient transparency and evidence assessment. Based in Jakarta since 2022.
Phoebe writes on whole-food dietary patterns, mineral nutrition, and traditional food culture across the ASEAN region. Her editorial work connects nutritional anthropology with contemporary research frameworks, with a consistent focus on practical applicability.
Marcus manages Rolan Review's research infrastructure, coordinating the publication's supplier audit programme and overseeing the evidence review process for all published articles. His background is in applied research methodology and Southeast Asian market analysis.
How We Work

No article is sponsored, commissioned, or subject to commercial review. Authors disclose any relevant commercial relationships before publication; articles with undisclosed conflicts are not published.
Evidence Grading
Claims are differentiated by evidence quality. The distinction between well-supported, preliminary, and anecdotal findings is maintained throughout editorial content and noted explicitly where relevant.
Two-Editor Review
Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. The review covers factual accuracy, source quality, conflict of interest, and editorial tone. No article is published on the basis of a single author's review.
Source Disclosure
Primary sources — research studies, supplier documentation, field observations — are noted within the article body. We maintain internal source files for all published content and make citations available on request.
Corrections Policy
Factual errors are corrected promptly and noted transparently within the article. We do not silently amend published content. Readers can report potential errors via the contact page.
